About

Be intentional.

Perpetually challenge.

Have purpose.

For me, design is best described as purely biological. A conversation between brain, heart, and most prominent: gut. Knowledge, passion, and intuition fuel my work, while Iā€™m continually on the quest to enhance all three. I rely on clear diagramming to express series of moves, not a singular solution. And, I believe in exercising empathy to best respond to the human {or sometimes non-human} spirit.

Originally from Fort Collins, CO, I moved east to attended college at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. There, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Berlin and travel to Buenos Aires for a self-led honors research project. While immersed in different environments, I became acutely aware of cultural and regional languages of design. My project in Argentina lead me to informal settlements (slums) around the city, fascinated by means-based design. My thesis, although radical, asserted we as designer's have something to learn from informal development.

Post-graduation, I spent 5 years in Atlanta working for two different firms. Amid a rapidly growing city, I was eager to both learn mistakes from the past and be inspired by a growing design culture. I sought to influence positive change and was selected for the Millennial Advisory Panel for the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) in 2015. In early 2018 I moderated a panel on design with local creatives.

I spent 2014-2019 as a designer for Genlser, in both the Atlanta and the New York office. At Gensler, my focus was primarily on Commercial Office Building and Build-to-Suit Headquarters. My portfolio prior to 2014 includes Tall Buildings (KPF), Master Planning (Sizemore Group), and Human-Centered Design (IHCD). I am currently a project architect and designer with Morris Adjmi Architects in New York where I am expanding my reach to include residential work.

I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY. I am a Registered Architect in the State of New York and a LEED AP BD+C accredited professional.
